New Year, Real You (aka Foreal February) Setting New Year's resolutions is so 2012. According to U.S. News & World Report, 80 PERCENT of New Year's resolutions fail by February! We've all seen it, come January 2nd every treadmill is taken at the gym and you get slapped on the dreaded waitlist for your favorite group fitness classes. Once February 1st rolls around most exercise establishments now look like this...

and McDonalds lines are out the door. So why do these resolutions fail in the first place? Associating vague AF resolutions (I want to lose weight, drink less, travel more, eat healthy etc.) with a specific day of the year is setting yourself up for failure before you even begin. Our founder, Seth's mantra is, "my resolution is to never have resolutions." The idea is that you should be enacting change constantly; it's an everyday reassessment of your goals/who you want to be - embracing the real you. #KeepItReal with SMART Goals Before creating a laundry list of things you want to change/fix, ask yourself is this goal SMART - Specific Measurable Attainable Relevant Timebound Example - In 2019 I will do 10 push ups everyday to build strength. Specific not vague Measureable - 10 push ups Attainable - Can be done anywhere, doesn't require equipment or gym membership Relevant - Push ups will help you build strength Timebound - Everyday With #NewYearREALYou, we want to encourage you to #KeepItReal, and be the best version of your REAL self every day instead of struggling for 30 days to reach an unattainable idea of perfection that was sold to you by a toxic culture. How will you #KeepItReal in 2019?
